Elmbridge Impact

Voting and funding

Young People in Elmbridge

Your local Elmbridge councillors, Surrey County Council councillors, Members of Parliament and Members of the European Parliament all make decisions which affect the area you live in and the way you live your life. From transport to the environment, from sports provision to policing the streets, the decisions your representatives make affect you, and you can influence them.

If you're 18 or over you can vote in local, national and European elections and choose who you want to represent you and make decisions on your behalf. If you're 16 or 17 you don't have to wait until you are 18 to register to vote.

We send a voter registration form to every household in the borough at the start of September each year. Make sure whoever fills out the form for your household includes your details if you're 16 or over.
